PRE-BOOKABLE EXTRAS

See “TRAVEL EXTRAS” from the homepage for the range of services you can pre-book before you go. Note: Not all pre-bookable extras advertised are necessarily available in all our resorts and prices may vary.

Taxi transfers will only comfortably seat 3 adults (or 2 adults/2 children). 4 adults can only be seated comfortably with minimal luggage. Please note in Tenerife, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura pre-booked private transfers may be by minibus not taxi.

SPA PACKAGES

All spa packages advertised are subject to availability. Spa package details are correct at the time of booking but treatments may vary slightly, we will notify you of any such changes. These will not constitute a significant change to your holiday (for further details please see section 3 of the booking conditions.) When you pre-book your treatments with us these will be confirmed on your booking / invoice. The exact day and time of each treatment will only be confirmed when you get to resort. It is possible that due to popular demand that your first choice of treatment time may not be available, and the spa staff will be happy to advise you of alternative times during your stay. Certain treatments may include a medical consultation as part of the treatment, this is to ensure your treatment is fully tailored to your needs and that you do not suffer from any medical conditions which may be incompatible with any treatments. Although spa treatments are regarded as safe they are not always suitable for everyone. If you suffer from conditions such as high blood pressure, poor circulation, deep vein thrombosis and heart disease they may not be compatible with spa treatments. Similarly if you have recently had an operation, are pregnant or taking medication, you may not be able to use some treatments. We strongly recommend that if any of the above applies to you or you have any othermedical condition, you should refer to your GP before booking. Some treatments may have a profound effect on circulation, skin or blood pressure. You should consider this if you have any pre-existing medical condition. In the event that you have to cancel the spa package due to a medical condition before travel or during any consultation prior to treatment in resort then confirmation of this must be received by us in writing and we will provide a full refund for the spa package only. If you wish to cancel your full holiday as a result of this then cancellation charges as outlined in section 14 of the booking conditions will apply. If you change your spa booking or cancel for any other reason section 14 & 15 of the booking conditions will apply.

FREE CAR RENTAL FOR VILLA PACKAGE HOLIDAYS & SIXT HOLIDAY CAR HIRE FOR VILLA ONLY HOLIDAYS

Short Haul Villa Package Holidays: A FREE rental car is included in all our short haul packaged villa holidays for the duration of your holiday. Depending on your chosen resort, should you wish to upgrade your allocated car you can do so. When booking your package holiday please remember to consider the size of your party as well as the luggage space you will require. Children over 2 years of age count towards the party size. Infants do not, but do need to be considered if you are travelling with a full car occupancy as you will need to upgrade to a larger vehicle. When booking your holiday please ensure that the lead name is also the lead driver if you wish to add on Additional Drivers, Child Car Seats or Roof Racks,
then please contact us on 0871 423 8432 for availability and prices.

Villa Only Holidays: Car hire is not included with any villa only bookings, however should you wish to book car hire then please see the TRAVEL EXTRAS - CAR HIRE from the homepage or contact us on 0871 423 8432.

Driver’s age: If you are under 25 or over 65 years old please inform Cosmos Reservation Department at the time of booking on 0871 622 4205. Age restrictions may apply in certain destinations, and in some cases there may be a young drivers charge payable locally.

Special requests: • Child seats: these are mandatory in most countries and must be requested at the time of booking. Booster seats are now compulsory in the Algarve for children under 12. Although instructions will be provided you will be required to fit the child seat yourself. For older children, it is recommended that you take your own booster seats. If requested and confirmed at least 7 days prior to departure these will be guaranteed • Roof racks: these are available in some locations and should be specially requested at the time of booking. There is usually a charge for them which is payable locally. No guarantee can be made regarding their availability.

Driving licence: • Drivers must produce a full British driving licence held for at least one year (or in some cases an international driving licence). Drivers with a new style licence must have all sections with them • In certain locations and for some car types, drivers must have held a full licence for a minimum of 2 years • It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has the appropriate driving licence • Our reservations agent must be informed of any endorsements on the driver’s licence, as we may not be able to take your booking • No refunds will be given for rentals rejected due to non-production of a driving licence or non-disclosed endorsements • Faxed or photocopied licences are not acceptable.

Deposits: • Deposits vary by destination • All customers will be required to leave a deposit to cover the insurance excess and fuel. To do so, a valid credit card in the name of the lead driver, must be produced upon collection of the car, as a form of deposit • Cash deposits are rarely accepted • Where a deposit for fuel is payable, it will usually be refunded if the car is returned with a full tank. If the tank is not returned full, our local car rental partner will charge for fuel at its prevailing rate. They may also levy a refuelling charge. Please check the fuel policy when you pick up your car • Deposits against damage are required in some countries. A major credit card can be used for this purpose

Prices: • All prices on this website apply at time of publication and nightly website update (nightly XML upload) but we reserve the right to change any of these prices from time to time. Though advertised cars will be supplied by Sixt Holiday Cars, on occasions dependent on demand or car type, other car hire operators may be used. Please note that this is a summary of booking conditions for car rental. CAR HIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FLORIDA HOLIDAYS BY ALAMO

Minimum age: 21 years old. Underage fee:$20 per driver per day will apply for all drivers aged 21-24 years unless otherwise stated.

Additional drivers: $5.99 per driver per day except where stated otherwise. Additional drivers may be required to present a valid driving license and their credit card at time of rental.

Infant seat: $5 per seat per day. Seats should be requested at time of booking, and returned at the end of the rental, otherwise a fee will be charged.

Seatbelts and child restraint seats: State laws may require the use of these. Seats should be requested at time of booking.

Driving areas: Vehicles can be driven in any state in the US, but must be returned to the point of collection; failure to do so will result in drop-off charges being made.

Fuel policies: A full tank of petrol will be purchased at the time of rental.

Identification required: A full, valid UK driving license, passport and credit card must be produced in the drivers name. Overstay fee: If you extend the length of the rental any time after collecting the vehicle, regardless if an additional voucher is presented, a fee of $10.99 per day will be charged to you in addition to the applicable rental rates.

Vouchers: If you have pre-booked a car, then return it prior to the end of the period you reserved it for, no credit will be given for the unused portion of the rental.

AVIS CAR RENTAL – SOUTH AFRICA

Rates include: Value added tax at 14%, unlimited mileage, maximum theft loss waiver and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Personal Accident Insurance, airport surcharge, tourism levy.
Rates exclude: Fuel, additional driver charge, delivery and collection fee, one way fees, rental contract fee, water and under-carriage damage to vehicle, traffic fine handling fee, baby seat, claim administration fee, young driver.

Driver requirements: Minimum age is 21 years. Drivers under 21 and in possession of a valid drivers licence will be permitted to rent a vehicle subject to a young drivers surcharge. All drivers must have held a drivers licence for a minimum of 3 years. A valid credit card in the name of the lead driver must be produced on collection of the car.

One way rental cost: Cape Town to Eastern Cape or Plettenburg / Knysna / George 376 Rand.

Pre-payments: A deposit of 1000 Rand to cover the fuel charges or payment of the fuel services option. Customers may choose to purchase a full tank of fuel at the time of collecting the vehicle or they may pay a fuel deposit and be charged for actual fuel used. One way charges if applicable. Delivery and collection fee and additional driver charge as applicable. Pre-payments may be covered by an Avis honoured credit card, in which case the applicable charges will only be levied on termination of rental.

SPECIAL REQUESTS

Any special request should be advised to your Travel Agent (or us if booking direct) at the time of booking with as much detail as possible. We will do our best to help. If your special request is vital to your holiday, it must be specifically agreed with us before or at the time you book your holiday. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed. If your special request can only be met at additional cost, that cost will either be invoiced to you prior to departure or must be settled by you directly with the supplier concerned, at the point of delivery. IMPAIRED MOBILITY AND MEDICAL PROBLEMS

Cosmos, in line with most Tour Operators, endeavours to accommodate all customers, including those with disabilities. However, our experience indicates that certain holidays are not suitable for customers who rely upon wheelchairs for mobility or have certain other disabilities. To ensure the suitability of the holiday you have chosen, we strongly urge that you or your Travel Agent telephone the Cosmos Special Needs Department prior to booking on 0871 622 4254.
