Cosmos caters for all types and sizes of families and the number of people (adults and/or children) is indicated in the property description. In the majority of cases, child prices and reductions apply to children or teenagers up to and including the age of 16 (14 years to Lapland). These ages can sometimes vary. Where this is the case, we have indicated the applicable child age on individual descriptions.

PLANET KIDS / JOIN IN WITH PLANET KIDS
These fantastic clubs as detailed on individual property descriptions provide heaps of fun and games for kids of all ages.
Important Note: Clubs normally operate from 1 May-31 October (unless otherwise stated on the hotel page). The maximum number of daytime sessions is 6 per week and 3 evening sessions for approximately 2 hours per session, though this may vary. Activities and events at individual clubs may vary depending on the resort, time of year and the age groups of the participating children. Some club activities may entail a small charge. We reserve the right to offer alternative ’giveaway’ items from those advertised, should the need arise.
We always try to run the clubs separately, however where participating numbers are low Cosmos reserves the right to combine the Starbugs and Cosmic clubs. Should the numbers of participating children at any club fall below the minimum required to operate the service successfully, Cosmos reserves the right to withdraw the club facilities for all or part of the season. In the unlikely event that this should happen, you will be informed before departure if possible. Please note that it may sometimes be necessary to restrict admittance to the clubs in order to maintain a safe and sensible ratio of children to each Children’s Representative.
BABY BUGS CRECHE
Pre-bookable on a first-come, first-served basis. However during busy periods the crèche may be fully booked or for some other reason we may be unable to provide the pre-booked place, in which case a full refund for each session paid for which cannot be provided will be made in resort - this is the full extent of our liability.
FREE CHILD PLACES
Cosmos is pleased to offer some great child prices and free child places. Our Free places mean children travel free as they pay no basic holiday price and no flight or occupancy supplements (unless otherwise stated on package holidays). However, free places do not included any additional room or board supplements, which should be added in full. A deposit is also payable for each free child, which will be deducted from the final holiday balance.
ONE ADULT FAMILIES
Normally child prices only apply when children share with 2 adults - however at selected hotels, children sharing with one adult can pay the 1st and 2nd child price, on the following departures: 2, 5, 8 and 12 December. Where rooms are large enough for 4 people (eg. 1 adult and 3 children), the 3rd child will have to pay the adult price. One adult families offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
FREE KIDS COUNTDOWN
None of our incredible free kids offers will last forever, so to avoid disappointment, we recommend you book as early as possible. Any free places may only be available for a limited period at a time, These places are subject to availability and are not necessarily available all season or on all flights, and will get snapped up. Free child places are highlighted at time of booking.

Cosmos is pleased to offer free child places on many properties so families get a great deal.
CHILD PRICES
1st and 2nd children pay the prices 2 advertised.
2nd, 3RD AND SUBSEQUENT CHILD PRICES
Many of our 2nd child prices are featured in the price panels. Please ask your travel agent for our low 2nd child prices for properties where they are not in the price panel. 3rd and subsequent also receive a reduced price, and will have to pay a supplement of £50 on top of the 2nd child price unless stated otherwise at the time of booking.
KID’S RULEBOOK
• Free child places and child prices only apply where children share an apartment, hotel room or villa with at least 2 people paying the full adult price (maximum of 5 children in apartments or villas).
• To qualify for free places or advertised prices and reductions, the child’s age must not exceed the age limit, which is usually up to 16 on the day of departure. For Long Haul the child age is 2-11 years, the child must not exceed 11 years on the day of departure. For Lapland the child’s ages must not exceed the age limit of 14 years on the day of departure. This can sometimes vary, in which case the different age limit will be shown in the accommodation description.
• Any available free child places are not available when sharing with only one full fare-paying passenger (eg. One adult family offers); in this case children pay the child price
advertised in the price panel. Where this offer is not available, the first child pays the adult price.
• Any available free places are limited to one per room or apartment, villa or townhouse.
• Child prices and reductions do not include any additional room supplements or holiday insurance, which should be added in full. Child prices and
reductions do not include any applicable flight supplements.
• The normal deposit of £130 per person for short haul holidays and £150 per person for long haul holidays is payable for all children/teenagers including free places. In the event of cancellation of any free child place the deposit will be retained. In the event of cancellation of any other child or teenager booking, where a £130 (short haul) or £150 (long haul) deposit has been taken the cancellation shall be subject to the cancellation charges set out in Clause 14 of our booking conditions.
• Free places and child prices are on a first come first served basis, subject to availability and aren’t available on every holiday.
• Some hotel rooms for 4 people may include folding or bunk beds for children, but the majority of rooms have 2 double beds and can sleep up to 4 people.
• Free child places are not available on villa only holidays.
• Prices shown for adults in apartments/villas are based on the maximum number of adults able to share that villa, so if you have less than that number in your party each adult will need to pay a supplement, as detailed at time of booking or by calling Cosmos Direct. Children who qualify for a free place or advertised child price do not pay any occupancy supplements and for pricing purposes only, do not count towards the overall occupancy.
• Unaccompanied children: we do not accept bookings from children under 18 who are not unaccompanied by an adult.

INFANTS
Infants under 2 years of age on day of return pay £35 on all short haul charter flights and £49 on all long haul charter flights and £59 on all short haul scheduled flights and £99 on all scheduled flights, and must travel on an adult’s lap if there is no spare seat and have no baggage allowance or in-flight meal nor do they pay a holiday deposit.
Infants aged over 6 months and under 3 years can use car-type seats on board aircraft (which you must provide yourself) if you book a separate seat, usually at the cost of the advertised child price or the relevant Cosmos flight only price, whichever is the cheapest. Cots are normally provided by property management free or at a local charge which is detailed in the individual property descriptions or villa factfiles. There may be limited availability and they may not always conform to British safety standards. In order to avoid disappointment you may wish to take your own carry/travel cot. Carriage of the same may, combined with your other luggage, exceed your baggage allowance and accordingly you may have to pay an excess baggage charge. The cost of cots and extras like food, should be paid for directly to the hotel. High chairs, where stated on the individual property pages, are normally only available in the restaurant.
FOOTBALL IN THE SUN
Those taking Cosmos insurance will be insured against personal injury whilst participating. However, those not taking Cosmos insurance should check with their insurance company that they have adequate and appropriate cover.
• Participants must take adequate training shoes (for playing on an artificial surface), shirt, shorts, socks, shin pads and sun block on all days.
• In the unlikely event that bad weather forces the cancellation of all or part of the training, Cosmos will endeavour to secure suitable alternative times for the training.
• Should the numbers of participating children fall below the minimum required to operate successfully, Cosmos reserves the right to withdraw the service for all or part of the season. In the unlikely event that this should happen, you will be informed before departure if possible and the cost of the option refunded. This will be the limit of our liability to you.
