Whether it is for a weekend break away with friends or a week long stay with the family, this beautiful Balearic Island offers plenty to keep me entertained.

With the flight just over 2 hours long, I think it's the perfect escape for a long weekend, not only to let my hair down in the evenings enjoying a cocktail or two in the array of chill-out bars, but also to soak up the Mediterranean sunshine lying on one of the stunning beaches, or as I wander some of the old cobbled streets.

With a wealth of history, Ibiza Town is striking and centres around a marina, and I love wandering around the boutique shops and street markets. If feeling energetic, I'll walk up the steep winding roads to the cathedral for the panoramic views over the island - it truly is magnificent. At night, the town comes alive with street performers and there's a wide variety of restaurants to choose from.

Ibiza's gorgeous beaches leave you spoilt for choice. If you're looking for a lively vibe during the day then the coast of Playa d'en Bossa is the place to be! I prefer to explore the hidden treasures of Cala Vadella on the West coast, or the bays in Santa Eulalia which are a lot quieter and more family friendly. The great thing is that the daily bus service around the Island means all resorts are only a short ride away, so I can literally beach hop on a daily basis!

Renowned for being the party capital of the world, Ibiza definitely lives up to its reputation and San Antonio never disappoints for an evening of bar crawling! Although not my scene anymore, I can see why the 'West End' still attracts younger party goers, with its incredible choice of all-night clubs, pubs and world-class DJ's to enjoy. A 'must' of my stay is watching the sun set at the amazing sun-set strip in San Antonio. Nothing quite beats kicking back with a drink after a day in the sun, enjoying the unique atmosphere and chill-out DJ sounds.

To me, Ibiza truly does tick every box from my holiday wish list.
