Ibiza: Introduction

Things to see and do in Ibiza
Located on the west coast just 10 miles from the airport, San Antonio is the most vibrant holiday resort on the island. Known affectionately as 'San An' to the thousands of tourists that visit each year, the town is both a clubbing mecca and home to a range of intimate beaches. If you're looking to experience San Antonio's infamous nightlife it's best to visit during July and August. Families and couples looking for a cheap holiday to Ibiza may prefer the more tranquil months of May, June, September and October. The capital Ibiza Town encapsulates the rich cultural tapestry and quirky charm that is infused throughout the island. The grand marina is filled with impressive yachts and the finest restaurants in Ibiza. Magnificent sixteenth century walls surround the maze of the historic Old Town with its boutiques and stalls boasting bargains  galore. 

Santa Eulalia is on the southeast coast is the island's capital and offers a more peaceful Ibiza holiday. Home to whitewashed houses, beautiful churches and the intriguing historical monument Es Puig de Missa, the region also offers a range of water sports and nautical activities. Idyllic beaches are scattered along the coastline and there are a number of walking trails. Ibiza's most treasured local markets are also found in the lovely towns of Es Cana and San Carlos.

Kids attractions
Ibiza holidays are great for families, too. Play parks are found in most resorts, and especially around Playa d’en Bossa, which is also home to the Aguamar Water Park. Another good family day out is a day trip by ferry to the paradise island of Formentera, where you can spend hours of utter relaxation on the white sand which leads to an azure sea.

Weather in Ibiza
Ibiza has a Mediterranean climate. From May the temperature is up to the mid-twenties, rising to over 30º C in August and September with very little rainfall. A package holiday to Ibiza has enough rays to delight even the most dedicated sun worshipper.
