Son Bou : Holiday Accommodation

Boasting the longest stretch of sand on the island, Son Bou is an ideal spot for a beach holiday to Menorca. Finding a space to sun-bathe won’t be a problem and once you get too hot you can relax with a cool cocktail at one of the many seafront bars or take a refreshing dip in the aquamarine waters. For those after thrills and spills, there is a large range of water sports on offer at Son Bou. Culture vultures will appreciate a stroll up to the nearby Cap de Penyes headland where there are still traces of a small ancient settlement and Christian basilica. This is just one of countless historic sites that have given Menorca the label of an open air museum.

Nature lovers will also be very happy at Son Bou with the rugged natural landscape framing the beach and the protected local marshland and dune ranges, teeming with wildlife. The old town of Ciutadella and the capital Mahon with their picture-postcard harbours and medieval buildings are only a day trip away and a must for those on a package holiday to Menorca.
