Maspalomas : Holiday Accommodation

Maspalomas is the oldest tourist town on the south coast of Gran Canaria and boasts a wide range of hotels, restaurants, bars, taverns, shops and beaches. It is most famous for its striking sand dunes, which can only be crossed on foot or on camel, making you almost believe you are in a different part of the world altogether. With 17km of wonderful coastline, wide sandy beaches, shallow waters and year-round sunshine, a Maspalomas holiday has enough to satisfy those who want a bit of everything.
It may be quieter than the Playa del Ingles resort or a holiday to Puerto Rico, but Maspalomas still has a wide range of activities and things to see. From strolling along the glorious coastline, to spotting endangered wildlife, to simply enjoying a relaxing beach holiday, the resort has something for everyone, although the Dunes Nature Reserve is one of the biggest attractions of a cheap holiday to Maspalomas. A natural barrier between the resort and the ocean, the Reserve became a national park in 1994 and is protected due to the number of rare plants and species it attracts.
