If you want to pick up the pace, El Medano has some great attractions nearby, too. Explore the two nature reserves - Montana Roja and Montana Pelada - both are within distance. These volcanoes make for a dramatic backdrop to El Medano. Visit Eagle Park in Los Cristianos where birds of prey swoop perilously close above heads. Or jump aboard a leisurely ferry ride to the neighbouring islands of Gran Canaria and La Gomera.
