San Antonio, or 'San An' to those who come here often, is the island's mecca for holiday-makers. During the low season the resort is great for all ages, but come high season Ibiza really comes alive. Daytime fun centres around the yachting marina and the bay offers a selection of watersports, enticing boat trips and excursions. Days are to be spent chilling out on the pleasant beaches; from Cala Gració, a pleasant sheltered cove at the north edge of town to a further scattering of small sandy bays of Cala's Bassa, Conta, D'Hort and Tarida. When dusk falls, the resort moves up a gear into true party mode. The hub of the fun is San An's 'West End', an explosion of pulsating bars, discos and clubs featuring some of the biggest names in the world, which will keep any nightbird going until dawn and beyond.
