Bustling Limassol is the island's second largest city and has an upbeat cosmopolitan mood. It is essentially a seaside resort, Old Town and working seaport all rolled into one. Shoppers will want to tour Limassol's Old Town, an excellent place to pick up souvenirs. There's a variety of Cypriot and international cuisine available at the restaurants, cafés and tavernas. The night-life is equally varied, with a selection of discos, bars, nightspots and traditional bouzouki. For the jet-set there are also sophisticated pavement cafés and boutique-type restaurants for a spot of indulgence.
