Shopping

Handmade lace, rugs, village wine and honey are reasonably priced and make great souvenirs. The main shopping area for clothes, shoes, jewellery and perfumes can be found on Alexandra Roma Street, towards the harbour in Zante Town. You can also buy fresh fish from the fishermen on the harbourfront in Zante Town that have just come back from their day at sea!

Cuisine

Along with many of the Greek Islands, the best way to appreciate the great variety of Greek specialities is by ordering a meze which will consist of small local plates of dips as well as local fish and meat dishes for the whole family to enjoy. Taverna and restaurants offer a wide varierty of local and international cuisine.

Night-life

Argassi and Tsilivi are very family orientated resorts, but there are bars open to the early hours. There are a variety to suit all tastes with entertainment including karaoke, bingo and sport and some show the latest films. Tsilivi also has one nightclub based in the centre of resort. Laganas is the party capital of the island with a wide selection of pubs and clubs to suit all music tastes. Most places are open into the early hours making this is a great resort for the young at heart who want to dance the night away.
