INTRODUCTION TO BAMBURI BEACH
Part of the reef-protected, white sand beach stretching north from Mombasa, Bamburi is some 14 kms from town. Scuba-diving, snorkelling and glass bottom boat trips are available over the reef, along with other watersports. The Hallas Nature Park is just south of the resort where you may spot hippo, crocodiles, pelicans, antelope and giant tortoises. There are many western-style restaurants and plenty of discos.
