Bantry Bay is in the heart of an exclusive residential area stretching along Cape Town's Atlantic coastline. It is an area of expensive villas precariously hugging the cliff side, and if you climb up Lion's Head you will find small, exclusive hotels with gardens that plunge down the hillside. There are naturally stunning views overlooking the bay from here, but there are equally impressive sights down at sea level. Just walk along the front and watch the power of the ocean crashing onto the shore. There are great views of Table Mountain but if you want shopping, night life, and plenty of restaurants you need to be near the waterfront.
