Isla Canela is near Ayamonte where there are shops and a weekly Saturday Flea market, plus daily fruit, vegetable and fish markets/shops can be found in some streets. Islantilla has a few souvenir and gift shops, and there is a small shopping complex nearby. Local markets in nearby Huelva (Friday morning) and Ayamonte (Saturday morning). Largers shops in Seville or Huelva. Good buys are, copper, pottery, olive wood, leather goods, Moorish crafts, filigree jewellery, wicker ware, fans and lacework.

Cuisine

Try fresh grilled sardines, fresh fish and shellfish, ham from Huelva, Gazpacho (chilled puree of tomato, cucumber, peppers, garlic), Manzanilla (light, dry sherry). Make sure you visit a Chiringuitos a beach or seafront bar, there are plenty of them dotted about in Isla Canela and Islantilla. Isla Canela is nearby Aymonte fishing village where there are various tapas bars. Islantilla neighbours La Antilla with its bars and restaurants.
