Estepona is a picturesque, traditional town that lies on the coastline between Marbella and Gibraltar. It still retains much of its fishing and farming roots, illustrated by the fish auction that takes place daily on the quayside. This pretty town consists of whitewashed buildings, many dating back to the last century, set amidst a maze of side streets, squares and patios. It boasts a fine promenade lined with palm trees and colourful flowers and each evening bars, restaurants and clubs swing into action. Golfers will feel at home here with several first-rate courses nearby including Valderrama along the coast to the west.
