Cyprus itself is thoroughly European. Situated in the Eastern Mediterranean makes it an ideal base from which to visit Egypt. Why not take advantage of that by taking a cruise to savour these exotic lands. This cruise can be taken as part of a 14 night holiday at some of our hotels.
Itinerary
Day 1-5
Depart UK for Cyprus and transfer to the hotel of your choice in Paphos or Limassol for a 5 night stay.
Day 6
Transfer to Limassol and set sail in the afternoon on board the Louis Serenade. Time to relax, enjoy dinner and meet your cruising companions. (D).
Day 7
Arrive in Port Said after breakfast on board, you will be taken by air-conditioned coach to Cairo. Your first stop is Giza Plateau, where the Great Pyramids of Giza are found. You will have free time to explore the site marvelling at the pyramids before continuing down the valley to visit the mighty Sphinx where centuries of silence cast enigmatic air and mystery. Our next stop is the papyrus factory where you'll see demonstrations of paper made from reeds, an art first discovered by the ancient Egyptians. You will also get the chance to pick up a few gifts in the souvenir shop before we continue on a short excursion downtown to the banks of the River Nile where a cruise boat awaits to sail along Cairo's waterfront landmarks. For entertainment a folklore show with belly dancing will be performed. Our last stop will be at Tahir (Liberty) Square, the heart of downtown Cairo. Visit the National Archaeological museum with its exquisite jewellery, treasures and antiquities including the King Tutankamun. You will then transfer on to the Louis Serenade for dinner as we sail back overnight to Limassol arriving in the morning. (B,L,D)
