If you've ever felt the remotest stirring for a life on the water, you really should try one of our Gulet Cruises; the best and most relaxing way to see Turkey in all its splendour.
Gulets are traditional Turkish wooden vessels, about 20 metres long with a main mast. They feature an interior saloon with a radio/cassette stereo system, fully-equipped galley, sundeck, dinghy, snorkels and a windsurf board. Gulets can accommodate up to 12 guests in comfort, sleeping 2 in a double bedded cabin with private shower and wc.
Please note that it is essential you bring the bare necessities, so pack your things in a bag rather than a case, as this will be easier to stow in the cabin. You'll need a pair of shoes or trainers when you go ashore, and a pullover as it can be cool at sea in the evening. Don't forget that you'll need sunglasses, of course, towels and plenty of suncream or sunblock. Do not bring electrical appliances as there are no electric sockets on board.
Itinerary
Day 1
Depart UK for Dalaman and transfer to your gulet in Marmaris. Time to relax, get to know your surroundings and meet your cruising companions. (D)
Day 2
A welcome meeting follows breakfast prior to departure to Ciftlik. then on to Serce where on approach you'll see the ancient ruins. (B,L,D)
Day 3
Cruise to Selimye where you moor for lunch. Visit Bozburun and overnight sail by the village of Selimye. (B,L,D)
Day 4
Cruise to Dislice Island and enjoy lunch and snorkelling. Then spend the evening in Bencik. (B,L,D)
Day 5
From Bencik you'll be making your way to Aktur Beach with the opportunity to snorkel. Next visit Datca, an idyllic and authentic fishing village. (B,L,D)
Day 6
After breakfast in Datca we head for Bozukkale to see the ruins. (B,L,D)
Day 7
Cruise to Kadirga Bay for lunch (known locally as Clearwater Bay) before returning to Marmaris for some last chance souvenir shopping. (B,L,D)
Day 8
Transfer to Dalaman Airport for your return flight to the UK or transfer to your Gulet for the 7 night Turquoise Cruise or to your chosen hotel for your 7 night stay. (B)
