Kenya Safari - Masai Mara

With the Masai Mara Explorer, you can enjoy some of the best safari viewing in one of the most well-known national parks, while spending the whole time staying at the Mara Intrepids Club, above the Talek River, in a prime position in the Masai Mara.
Itinerary
Day 1. UK - Nairobi
Overnight flight to Kenya
Day 2. Nairobi - Masai Mara
If you fly on the charter flight to Mombasa, you will be met at Mombasa airport and transfered to the domestic flight to Nairobi where you join the tour. If you travel on the scheduled flight to Nairobi you will be met at Nairobi airport where the tour commences. From the airport travel to your accommodation for the durationof the safari - the Mara Intrepids Club. Enjoy a delicious lunch followed by a late afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara. This area, an extension of the Serengeti area of Tanzania, is one of Kenya's most famed game reserves, with abundant wildlife, rolling grasslands, and prolific birdlife. Throughout your stay you may encounter elephant, rhino, gazelle, leopard, lion, cheetah, hippos and crocodiles. The most famous attraction of the park is the wildebeest migration, which fills the plains of the Mara with wildebeest and zebra around July, August and September every year.
Days 3-4. Masai Mara
Spend the next two days at leisure exploring the captivating Masai Mara area on a number of morning and afternoon game drives. One morning you have the chance to see the Mara from above, during a balloon safari - a unique and awesome way to view this idyllic landscape. Follow this journey with a bubbly bush breakfast - a champagne breakfast enjoyed in the open air of the game reserve. This excursion will be a real highlight of your safari and a pleasant way to enjoy the bush.
Day 5. Masai Mara - Nairobi
Enjoy a last breakfast at the lodge before returning to Nairobi by light aircraft. You will then take your flight to Mombasa and go to your chosen beach hotel.
Mara Intrepids Club
This lodge is made up of luxury tents spread alongside a tranquil river. Located in the centre of the Masai Mara, providing easy access to excellent game viewing, in particular the wildebeest migration in the Mara River. After a busy day enjoying the reserve, the swimming pool and bar are perfect spots to relax and enjoy the evening. Activities on offer range from culture and wildlife slide shows, visits to neighbouring villages, and fishing excursions.
