Day 1. UK - Sri Lanka

Depart the UK for your flight to Sri Lanka.

Day 2. Kandy

Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by our representative and transferred to Kandy. In the evening, you will visit the famous and most sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. Two night stay at Hotel Topaz, Kandy. (L,D)

Day 3. Kandy - Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Kandy

In the morning enjoy a wonderful visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which provides a secure home to elephants found abandoned or injured in the jungles. Following this spend some time in the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens, home to the largest collection of orchids in Asia. (B,L,D)

Day 4. Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

Spend the morning passing through the fascinating tea plantations that gave Ceylon its world-famous reputation, before visiting a tea factory and learning about the process of tea making. After your arrival in Nuwara Eliya, spend the evening at leisure. Overnight at Galway Forest Lodge, Nuwara-Eliya. (B,L,D)

Day 5. Nuwara Eliya - Yala

Take a jeep safari around the extensive Yala National Park and discover more of Sri Lanka's diverse wildlife in the form of peacocks, deer and monkeys and even possibly water buffalo and a leopard, all found in the extensive Yala National Park. The main feature of this park is the incredible array of birdlife, which can easily be spotted in the park. Overnight at Elephant Reach Hotel, Yala. (B,L,D)

Day 6. Yala - Hambantota

The Udawalawe National Park is home to a resident population of approximately 150 elephants, but also contains many species of fish, reptiles, amphibians and snakes - an incredibly diverse range of fauna, providing a captivating experience. Overnight at the Oasis Hotel, Hambantota. (B,L,D)

Day 7. Hambantota - Koggala

Leaving the National Parks behind, today you travel to the stunning south coast, and learn more about Sri Lanka's culture and history by visiting traditional stilt fishermen, and then the Portuguese fort of Galle, which was also used by the Dutch, and is still an administrative centre today. Overnight at Club Koggala Village Hotel, Koggala. (B,L,D)

Day 8. Koggala - Beach Resort

After breakfast, leave for your chosen beach resort for the rest of your holiday in Sri Lanka. If travelling to the Maldives you will spend an extra night in Sri Lanka at the Holiday Inn Colombo before transferring to the airport for your flight to the Maldives, the following day. (B)

Days 9-13. At your beach resort

You may decide to extend your beach stay by an extra week either in Sri Lanka or in the Maldives.

Day 14. Sri Lanka - UK

Late night transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

If travelling to the Maldives you will spend days 9-15 at your chosen resort before transferring to the airport for your return flight to the UK on day 16.
