Excuse me if this sounds a tad cheesy, but for me Orlando is such a special destination because it really is filled with the magic and wonder that all the brochures and adverts promise. There are so many unique experiences that every time I visit I always find something new and exciting! Orlando's theme parks are what first drew me to the destination but I try not to fit every park into my two week holiday, I prefer to enjoy them at a more relaxed pace.

Whether we choose to visit Disney, Universal, Seaworld or all three, none disappoint. Disney's firework displays are some of the best in the world and they do them every night so no one misses out, and we like to combine them with some alfresco dining, for an extra special evening.

Discovery Cove is the closest thing to paradise you will find in Orlando, with its coral reefs and tropical jungles it offers pure bliss for when we want to escape the white knuckle rides.

But as a bit of a theme park geek, my must do for every trip is Universal's Islands of Adventure - I could do the rides over and over again and never get bored. This is where you'll also find 'The Wizarding World of Harry Potter' and whether you're a fan of the films I don't think you can help but fall in love with this magical world.

Driving in Orlando for me is less luxury and more a necessity. It's the freedom to do what you want when you want and I'd rather spend time enjoying the sunshine and roller coasters than waiting for a bus! When were out for the evening we usually end up at City Walk an area dedicated to food, drink and fun! We have to visit Rising Star a karaoke bar with a difference, as you get a full band and backing singers.

The best tip I could give for Orlando is to set aside time for rest. Running around theme parks all day can be fun, but it can also be exhausting. Orlando also offers a great mix of shows, golf and spa's - a cheeky massage and dip in the jacuzzi always does the trick for me.
