Acharavi : Holiday Accommodation

Situated on the northern coast of Corfu, Acharavi is long established as one of the top resorts in the region, particularly for families and romantic get-aways. The resort is around an hours drive from the main airport but this is where the holiday really begins as the drive takes you through the beautiful scenery and peaceful Greek villages. Once there it becomes apparent that Acharavi is more than a resort, it is also the main town in this part of Corfu with a bustling local life of its own outside of the tourist season. As a package holiday destination it offers tavernas and bars and long, clean sandy beaches.

Acharavi is an ideal place for a family holiday offering a safe beach with shallow water for small children to a lively nightlife for the party animals. Behind the town there are many hiking trails that have been cleared and reopened offering pleasant and peaceful walks from the shore into the hills. From the hills you can gaze across the sea to the coast of Albania and see the whole vista of the Corfu coast laid out at your feet. There are historical sites everywhere. With Acharavi itself there are some Roman baths and to the west, in the town of Roda, there are the remains of a Doric temple built for Apollo, the sun god. Given the amount of sunshine most visitors will find themselves worshipping Apollo!
