Gouvia : Holiday Accommodation

Gouvia is located in a curving bay 7km north-west of Corfu Town and Corfu Airport. It used to be home to a Venetian naval base and retains a rich maritime history. Being Corfu's main marina, it is a popular port of call for the island's wealthy boat owners and a plethora of impressive vessels can be seen at the waterfront. The waterfront also provides a cosmopolitan array of restaurants, bars nd shops with a more sophisticated feel than some other resorts. Gouvia feels modern and secluded and can easily be explored by foot. The village of Kotonkali is only a short stroll away for those after a more relaxed, quieter atmosphere.

Rather than one beach, numerous scenic small coves, bays and beaches can be found around Gouvia and can all be accessed from the village, complete with clear, clean waters and activities on offer. Those venturing out of town will be rewarded with lush olive-tree covered hills and citrus plantations to explore, there's even the ancient settlement of Danilia for a true glimpse of the Venetian-era Greece – ideal for those sun seekers wanting to absorb some cultural history as well some rays during their package holiday to Greece.
