Stalis : Holiday Accommodation

With the dramatic increase in tourism in Crete during the 1980s, the coast between Hersonissos and Malia, which includes Stalis, merged into a single resort around ten kilometres long. Stalis was never a town, but a beach. It was used by the townspeople of Mohos, a village up the mountain that rises south of the resort. It is, however, the quieter section of this exuberant stretch of coastline, which makes it ideal for a family holiday. If nightclubs and disco-bars are your cup of tea then Malia and Hersonissos are a longish stroll away. Stalis does have its fair share of tavernas and cafés with a range of friendly bars along the beachfront; so a good time is to be had albeit at a slightly less frenetic pace!

Package holidays in Stalis are for sand and sea lovers. The beach is a beautiful sandy stretch of loveliness which has a shallow gradient making it very safe for small children and there are also lifeguards on patrol making it even safer.
