Stalos : Holiday Accommodation

Seven kilometres west of Chania lies the village of Stalos. As with so many of the wonderful places to stay in Crete, Stalos has the old village up the hill and Kato Stalos, or Lower Stalos, is down by the Blue Flag beach with its golden sands, azure sea and whispering waves. The beach is guarded by the island of St Theodorou, said to be a petrified sea monster coming out of the ocean with its jaws agape! With the waterside tavernas, with lazy shady terraces, where you can dine watching the waves to the palm thatched beach bars, Stalos delivers the perfect beach holiday.

If nightlife is needed then the hotspots of Platanias and Aghia Marina are a short bus ride away. One of the joys of Stalos is that all the nightclubs and disco-bars are elsewhere so you can relax, hear the rustling breeze and chill out when you want to, but party close by when the need takes you. There is also a Fun Train excursion that leaves from the beachfront and takes a trip up into the mountains, through olive and orange groves.
