Psalidi is the ideal destination for a quiet family holiday. Lying just south of Kos Town, Psalidi forms the southern headland that encloses the Kos Town bay and is renowned for its genuinely peaceful atmosphere. Psalidi beach varies from a narrow strip of sand to large swathes of shingle and pebble. All along the beach there are pleasant views across the sea from Kos to the coast of Turkey.

The resort has a number of beaches and a wide range of water sports. There’s a selection of bars, restaurants and shops when you want a break from sunbathing and at sundown, the mood stays firmly in relaxation mode with low-key entertainment. It’s great as a daytime retreat before catching a bus or taxi into Kos Town, where you’ll find waterfront cafés, tavernas, shops and nightlife.

If you travel a little further inland from Psalidi then a visit to the Asklepion, (the temple to the God of healing) is well worth a visit. There are some unspoiled Greek villages among the picturesque pine forests that would make for a great day trip. Psalidi is a calm and tranquil resort perfectly suited to couples and families who want to enjoy a quiet day by the pool, take part in the many water sports on offer and then maybe head into Kos Town to sample the nightlife.
