Megali Ammos : Holiday Accommodation

A package holiday to Greece at Megali Ammos delivers the best of both worlds, a beautiful beach just 1km from Skiathos Town. Punctuate your lazy days lounging on the sun-baked sand with regular jaunts to the cosmopolitan capital. The beach itself runs right down to Vassilia and is over a mile long. A refreshing breeze blows across the bay from the north-east but the area is protected by the high hills surrounding the resort so the water is calm and great for swimming. There are also water sports available to try for those wanting to add some thrills and spills to their beach holiday.

The area is littered with tavernas and traditional ‘ouzeris’ serving up a cooling ouzo and a selection of snacks. If you can’t find anything you fancy you know you’re only a short bus or taxi ride away from Skiathos Town where there’s something to suit every budget and taste. The same can be said for the vibrant nightlife on offer in Skiathos Town and you know it’s only a 15 minute walk home.

If the hustle and bustle of Skiathos Town gets too much for you then there are numerous bus, taxi and boat services to take you to local sites of interest or you could even explore on foot.
