Theatre fans and drama buffs can get dramatic in classic style at the 11th International Festival of Ancient Drama, launching into action this summer.
During a month of high drama a number of venues will come alive with all the passion and emotion of Ancient Greek theatre, performed by a line up of professional actors.
Performances will be staged by a selection of international theatre companies hailing from Greece, Bulgaria, Cyprus, England and Germany throughout July and into August.
Highlights include Iphigenia in Taurus by Euripedes, Lysistrara by Aristophanes and Ajax by Sophocles.
As well as drama ballet performances will be held, offering a diverse range of performances for theatre fans to enjoy.
It has been confirmed that the majority of plays will be performed at the Curium Ancient Theatre, Limassol and the Makarios III Amphitheatre, Nicosia. Participating theatre groups have been selected from 40 applicants worldwide.
