2008 News Archive - Holidays - Exciting new mall for Varna
28 02 2007
Varna's growing status as a major holiday resort has been boosted further by news of a €100 million shopping centre.
The largest city on the Black Sea Coast, Varna is Bulgaria's third largest city and it has emerged in recent years as one of the country's most popular destinations.
It is already a major seaport, but Varna Bay is also attracting hundreds of thousands of sun worshippers every year. Many are attracted by the clean waters as well as the beautiful sandy beach, but the Varna itself also offers a multitude of distractions.
The new retail and entertainment complex, dubbed Orchid Mall Varna, will reportedly be completed by 2009 and builders will be moving in by September this year.
It is likely to be a luxurious development and can only contribute to Varna's burgeoning reputation.
Visitors to Varna are typically charmed by the likes of the Archaeological Museum, the Aquarium - held within the Sea Garden - and the fascinating churches and temples scattered throughout the city.
With modern bars, clubs and hotels strategically placed around the beach resorts, however, Varna is also a refreshingly modern city, fit for a family of diverse personalities.
