2008 News Archive - Holidays - Green-fingered visitors flock to the Florida Ramble

14 10 2008

Green-fingered tourists travelling to Florida will find plenty of interesting plants to admire at the Ramble garden festival, which takes place next month.

The two-day event - which begins on November 8th - is described as a "celebration of outdoor living" and promises to be an event that the whole family can enjoy.

According to events website whatsonwhen.com, the Ramble features more than 15,000 exotic plants and flowers, as well as musical performances, shows and unique gift stalls.

The Ramble also caters for children, with hat making, face painting and "carnivorous plant demonstrations" on offer.

The festival was established in 1941 and is one of south Florida's most popular family events.

Meanwhile, other events taking place in the Sunshine State over the coming months include the Fort Lauderdale Film festival, Jamaican Jerk Festival and American Sandsculpting Championships.
