2008 News Archive - Holidays - New flights to Malta, Corfu and Croatia launched

07 01 2009

A leading UK-based low-cost airline has announced that it will operate several brand new routes to Malta, Corfu and Croatia, a move which indicates the growing popularity of these destinations with UK holidaymakers.

easyJet announced that its planes will now operate low-cost flights from Bristol and Manchester to Corfu, from Newcastle to Malta and from Liverpool to Dubrovnik, in Croatia.

The announcements came as the airline unveiled 14 brand new routes, all of which will be operational in time for the summer holiday season this year.

Andy Harrison, easyJet's chief executive, said: "We start the New Year with 14 new routes which will be popular with sun seekers, city breakers and business travellers alike."

Founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou in 1995, easyJet is based at London's Luton Airport and operates low-cost flights across Europe.
