Self-catered villa holidays in Florida are likely to be among the top choices for those wanting to get away from it all this year, it has been suggested.
Despite the pound's recent fall against the dollar, holidays in the US may represent good value this summer, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
The newspaper claims that self-catering options work particularly well for families, whether its in a villa or a holiday camp.
Opting to go self-catered also means that holidaymakers can explore the local vicinity in greater detail when they go have to go shopping for groceries.
A fall in the price of oil also means that travellers can get good deals on hire cars while staying in the US, however booking in the UK and looking for an all-inclusive price is advised as many local firms can be pricey.
In related news, the American Idol Experience is due to open at Disneyland Hollywood Studios in Florida on February 14th.
