10 09 2008
The island of Tenerife has received significant investment over the last year and is set to attract even more tourists over the coming months.
According to Homes Worldwide, a new marina has been built on the island, along with a golf course and what has been described as "Europe's greatest water park".
Situated near Playa de las Americas, the Siam Water Park is set to become one of Tenerife's top attractions.
Those visiting Siam can expect to find a host of slides, bridges and waterfalls, with a Lost City zone, Wave Palace and Volcano slide.
Furthermore, the publication noted that Tenerife visitor numbers are on the increase, with 1.8 million people travelling to the island over the first three months of the year, representing a 2.5 per cent increase on the same period in 2007.
In addition to the investment that has already been directed at the island's visitor attractions, plans are reportedly in place to revamp a number of apartment blocks over the next seven years.
