2008 News Archive - Holidays - The delights of Durban
13 11 2007
Those heading to enjoy the warm climes of Durban in January can combine the beach and the waves with a relaxing day or five at the cricket.
South Africa take on the West Indies at the Kingsmead ground from January 10th to 14th 2008, a game which will see the young visiting side tested to the limit on a ground famous for favouring the quick bowlers.
Kingsmead is also very close to the seafront, just a ten minute walk from the golden mile, famous not just for sand but also for its numerous beach bars, hotels and great surfing.
Alternatively, a trip up to the suburb of Morningside makes for a great way to spend an evening, with restaurants and bars aplenty.
Visitors should be sure to try Bunny Chow, a local culinary speciality (rabbit not included).
Durban's subtropical climate should give beach lovers a fine time beside the sea followed by plenty of pleasantly warm evenings.
