24 10 2008
Taking a travel insurance policy on holidays is as important as taking your suitcase, it has been claimed.
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers' Association, said that travel insurance is essential and available "for very little".

EHICs only cover basic reciprocal medical costs in a limited number of European countries.
"Travel insurance is as important as your suitcase as I always say you just really need to take it with you if you don't it's a false economy. Many people suffer travel insurance claims," he commented.
A recent study carried out by American Express found that one in four Britons put themselves at risk by travelling abroad without cover.
