travel news - Istanbul - Enjoy Its Tranquil Side
Istanbul - enjoy its tranquil side
August 23 2007
Families who find themselves in Istanbul on holiday this summer may wish to get away from the city's chaotic streets with a ride on the Bosphorus on a boat.
Offering up a tranquil antidote to the noise of the main city, many boat trips commence from Eminonu Docks, which are situated close to Dolmabahce Palace, reports Whatonswhen.
There are a number of reasons to take in the waterway - not least that the fact that it links the east with the west.
Moreover, there are a number of luxurious treats waiting onboard many of the ferries, including great dining facilities.
Those on cheap holidays will be thrilled with the stunning sights that are afforded all along the Bosphorus such as the eye-catching Ortakoy Mosque. Many more finely structured buildings peek out from either side.
Istanbul also has other countless attractions such as its Blue Mosque which is one of the most grandiose buildings in Turkey.
