Cosmos wins top travel award

When booking a holiday with Cosmos, customers can rest assured that they are booking with the best short-haul operator in the UK.

The company received the award for best Short-Haul Operator from the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) in a glittering awards ceremony last night.

Beating off its nearest rivals from the travel industry, Cosmos left Thomas Cook and First Choice standing to claim the top accolade.

Argo, Cadogan and Keycamp were also nominated, but again didn't catch the judge's eye.

According to the TTG, the candidates went through a rigorous judging process as the panel was made up of the bigwigs of the travel industry.

Federation of Tour Operators director general Andy Cooper and founder of Carrick Travel Sally Carrick were among the 37 judges.

Ms Carrick commented on the decision, saying: "It was a combination of a professional submission with a bit of heart and a genuine desire to win coupled with experiences during the year."
