A trip to Portugal is surely exciting enough but adding in a live concert to the itinerary would be an added bonus to brag about when back in the UK.

Who better to see than Rufus Wainwright, the melodic singer with infamous family ties, as he plays in the country in November.

The American star will perform to an eager crowd of music fans at the Coliseu dos Recreios on November 6th.

Located in Lisbon, the arena will surely provide the perfect setting for a night of his top hits and chilled out tunes.

Sold out in the Dublin and Gateshead venues of the UK leg of the tour, the concert in Lisbon could provide the perfect excuse for a break in the city.

The singer-songwriter will also be playing venues in Spain and other European countries.

Also happening on the same night in November is the Champions League group match between home team Porto and French side Marseille.
