Cypriot sporting challenge
September 25 2007
A must-see holiday destination for many, Cyprus offers visitors lots to see and do.
Autumn may not seem like the perfect time to visit this Greek paradise, yet holidaymakers may be surprised to learn that a plethora of challenging sporting activities are taking place in the country.
One such event is the Cyprus International 4-Day Challenge, which could sound like an ideal European break for any fitness freak keen to test their abilities in more exotic locations, rather than on damp and dismal UK streets.
Taking place in Paphos, the event is a mixture of trail and road running.
Day three will take athletes through forest and coastal paths in the Akamas National Park, while day four is a flat ten-kilometre road run.
Starting on November 29th, this opportunity could allow keen runners to stay in shape before the indulgence the festive period often encourages.
Also taking place in Cyprus this November is the country's Aphrodite Half Marathon.
