Fun in the sun

Golf fans who fancy spending some warm days in the southern hemisphere can enjoy seeing some top players in action in the Nedbank Golf challenge at Sun City in South Africa.

The tournament takes place at the spectacular themed resort west of Johannesburg from November 29th to December 2nd.

Local stars like Ernie Els, Rory Sabattini and Retief Goosen take on the likes of American defending champion Jim Furyk, Ireland's Padraig Harrington, Englishman Justin Rose and Swede Henrik Stenson, in a mouth-watering line-up announced by the tournament organisers.

The Sun City resort itself offers a variety of themed attractions, casinos and even a mock beach, the last an interesting feature so far inland and over 5,000 feet above sea level on the high veldt.

A trip to Sun City can be combined with a visit to nearby Johannesburg, whose attractions include the Roof of Africa viewpoint from the top of the Carlton Tower, the tallest building in Africa.
