Majorca "has experienced huge popularity"
February 20 2008
In recent years, the Spanish holiday island of Majorca "has experienced huge popularity" it has been reported.
Primelocation.com reports that the increased availability of flights to smaller regional airports in European countries has opened such regions up.
A spokesperson for the company reports that low-cost flights in particular have made areas originally hard to reach "very accessible".
The news comes after British Airways announced it will launch new short-haul routes from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City airports from March 30th 2008 travelling to Palma in Mallorca.
Additionally, new routes from the UK will travel to Alicante, Faro, Gibraltar, Ibiza, Malaga and Tunis .
"Inland Murcia has again proven popular. Mallorca has experienced huge popularity in recent years," Louise Hall, business director of Primelocation.com, said.
