Tenerife to host Disney on Ice

The popular Canary Island of Tenerife has been chosen to host the much-loved ice dancing spectacle Disney on Ice.

Next month, the UNESCO heritage site of La Laguna will host the popular skating production, the Tenerife Tourism Corporation notes.

The show will take place, to the delight of holidaymakers, from March 14th until March 17th 2008 at the Pabellon Santiago Martin Ice Rink.

Featuring a cast and crew of 90, Disney on Ice will bring favourite characters to the Canary Island, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, the loveable Pluto and Baloo the Bear.

From a more recent era will be Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear and super-hero family The Incredibles.
