Soap stars head to Majorca for fundraiser
April 23 2008
A number of stars from a selection of popular British television soaps are due to jet in to Majorca to appear at the opening night of a popular theatre.
The Majorca Daily Bulletin reports that Pirates Adventure in Magaluf is hosting a Charity Premiere in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Taking place on Saturday May 3rd 2008, the premiere will be supporting the charity for the fourth year running and will be attended by stars from Coronation Street and EastEnders.
"Last year's premiere raised over 111,000 for the charity and we're hoping to do even better this year. Working with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity is extremely important to us," Pirates managing director Andrew Clemence told the publication.
Famous faces attending the event will include EastEnders' Steve McFadden and Jessie Wallace - aka hard-man Phil Mitchell and former Slater-sister Kat - alongside Coronation Street favourites Sue Cleaver and Charlie Condou, who play Eileen Grimshaw and Marcus Dent.
