Well away from the activity of large resorts, the house is located off-the-beaten-track without being isolated and commands idyllic country views as a result. Approached along a gated driveway for extra seclusion, the interior is decorated and maintained to a high standard. Throughout, quality furnishings and fittings set a welcoming tone and the owners have paid great attention to detail, adding modern artworks, comfortable rugs and dried flower arrangements to many rooms. The light and fresh living room is equipped with a DVD player and the attractive kitchen features all the up-to-date appliances needed for a leisurely holiday.

The friendly ambience extends out to the lovely, private garden and poolside terrace, where an outdoor barbecue provides for alfresco meals. The sizeable terraces offer plenty of room for sunloungers and are bathed in sun for most of the day.

For family excursions, the Pedra Grande is just ten minutes drive from Aqualand waterpark, whilst the shops and eateries of whitewashed Alcantarilha are closer still. Unfortunately, the villa’s out-of-the-way location makes it unsuitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.
