Personally, I don't feel anywhere else in the world can offer such a diverse holiday experience as the Costa del Sol. I think the array of attractions, bars, restaurants and beaches are second to none, and lying right on the Mediterranean Sea, the tranquillity you feel when relaxing on the beach, or having freshly made paella on the promenade, makes all your worries melt away.

My favourite place to stay has to be Benalmadena. Everything I need is close by, and I see it as the heart and soul of the Costa del Sol as I can decide what I want to do at the last minute, or days in advance, and I am never disappointed. Lively bars, seafood restaurants, tapas bars, and small typical Spanish restaurants abound, so I always find something to satisfy my cravings!

As a change of scene, a few days in Malaga is now a must for me. I wasn't a massive admirer of art, until I explored the centre of this intriguing city. The list of museums, galleries, churches and cathedrals is endless, and since the renovation of the city, it is such a pleasant place to have a stroll around and admire the architecture of the old and new buildings. The centre has been mainly pedestrianised through the renovation and is now crammed with terraces to have a refreshing cerveza, or a glass of rioja.

If you fancy an action packed day out, there are waterparks, themeparks, go-karting… the list is endless - I can relive my youth on one day, and then act my age the next! For me the weather here is just right, I can sunbathe without getting too hot, and walk around the towns without feeling exhausted.

I have had many holidays along the Costa del Sol, and I'd like to think I know the resorts like the back of my hand, however each time I visit I find something new to do or to see, and I never find myself searching for something to do. That's why the Costa del Sol is the holiday for me every time.
