There’s plenty to do on a cheap holiday to Bangkok and Phuket. Firstly you get to explore fascinating Bangkok, with the amazing Grand Palace, along with hundreds of other golden temples. The shopping is out of this world, from street markets to department stores, it’s easy to find a bargain in this bustling, colourful city. For a quieter moment, try a cruise on the wide Chao Phraya River. Phuket, known as the ‘Pearl of the South’, is the largest island in Thailand and offers an amazing range of things to do. From the amazing Phang Nga Bay to majestic rainforests, from night markets to traditional herbal spas as well as the usual beach activities, Phuket has it covered. 

Thailand is also one of the most child-friendly countries to visit, and many of the resorts are great for families, especially Karon Beach. There are elephant rides, water parks and an aquarium, plus go-karting for the older ones. The kids won’t be bored on a Bangkok and Phuket holiday. Thailand has warm tropical weather all year round, although it can get very hot and rainy at certain times of the year. December to February is usually the best time to visit with temperatures averaging 26°C. June to September tends towards warm sunny days with the odd downpour thrown in, and October to December is wetter with periods of dry sunny weather.
