Dalyan : Holiday Accommodation

Dalyan boasts a stunning inland river setting, just 20km from Dalaman Airport with easy access to the coast. This friendly resort is surrounded by verdant countryside and framed by magnificent mountains. The breath-taking landscape makes Dalyan a very popular choice for families and couples seeking an active beach holiday to Turkey. The nearest beach is a protected area, due to the population of visiting turtles and is only a short scenic bus or taxi ride away. Indeed the whole of the Dalyan delta is now a conservation area home to rare terrapins, marsh frog and kingfisher species. It's a nature lovers paradise.

The resort itself has been conscientiously developed into a pleasant traditional town with welcoming restaurants specialising in the delicious local river fish. Carpet, jewellery and craft shops are plentiful if you’re looking for a souvenir of your beach holiday to Turkey. Culture vultures will want to know that the ancient settlement of Kaunos is just across the river from Dalyan. This is one of the most important archaeological sites in the country. Only a tenth of the city has been uncovered so more and more fascinating finds emerge every year. There is something for everyone on a cheap package holiday to Turkey.
