Built in traditional Majorcan style, the house combines comfort with an unmistakably olde-worlde feel. Inside, everything centres on a high-ceilinged sitting-dining room, which is finished with exposed wooden rafters and rustic furnishings that make it feel wonderfully welcoming. The bright, well-equipped kitchen has a door to the pool terrace and brick-built barbecue and the traditionally furnished bedrooms all contribute to the homely atmosphere.

To get outside, most guests will throw open the doors in the living room, which link to the shaded main terrace, a charming venue for outdoor meals and drinks whilst surveying the unusual terraced garden, set with rockery, shrubs and trees. A few steps away is the delightful pool set to the side of the house, where you can laze and gaze out over the surrounding trees enjoying the serenity - although at times, you may just hear the very faint noise from a nearby road.

A half hour drive through the countryside is the beach at Alcudia and the pretty village of Sa Pobla offers up shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty.
