SON BOU
Son Bou boasts the longest sandy beach in Menorca and offers everything you need for a sun-and-fun holiday. The wide, pale-gold ribbon of sand gently shelves into the sea and is lined with beach bars and watersports - from pedalos and jet-skis to snorkels and windsurfing. When you tire of soaking up the sun and beach life, the resort has a variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Alternatively, the little town of Alayor, eight kilometres away, is a lovely country village renowned for its cheese-making and holds a colourful festival in the second weekend of August. Otherwise, picturesque Mahon is around 21 kilometres away and can be easily reached by local bus.
