Steps to one side of the terrace ascend to a further, shaded terrace, which is perfect for relaxing over al-fresco meals and enjoying the superb views out over the Atlantic. An outdoor barbecue is another pleasure here - even more reason to spend time enjoying the simple pleasures of al-fresco dining. From here, patio doors bring you into the airy sitting-dining room, which incorporates a traditional corner hearth, easy chairs and a satellite TV and DVD player. There is a well-equipped kitchen and utility room with washing machine to save you from chores, and three of the four bedrooms - one double and both twins - feature patio doors as further encouragement to spend time out in the open air.

The Barreto is well placed for visiting the beautiful sandy beach at Sao Rafael only 300 metres or so away, and enjoying its friendly bars, restaurants and shops, all just five minutes walk from the door. Albufeira is also handy just a few kilometres along the coast.
