Cosmos airs first ever TV advert

 

13th January 2020 – Today marks the premiere of a new Cosmos TV advert, the first the global escorted touring brand has aired in its 59-year history.

 

Showcasing Cosmos’ “see everything, and worry about nothing” approach to escorted tours, the new advert takes viewers on a discovery of North America, from the bright lights of New York city to the Canadian Rockies by way of numerous recognisable landscapes and cityscapes. Building on the brand’s strapline of ‘Adventure is Knocking’, the advert forms a central part of an integrated marketing campaign throughout 2020 to promote touring holidays to the ever-popular region. Cosmos and sister company Globus offer more escorted tours to North America than any other operator, offering an unrivalled choice of touring styles and holiday experiences.

 

Claire Hazle, Director of Marketing and ECommerce at Cosmos, said: “This is an incredibly exciting move for the Cosmos brand not just in the UK but also in our overseas markets. TV is an effective medium for us to get our brand in front of those who want to explore North America on an escorted tour and experience those ‘wow’ moments that a Cosmos tour delivers. The creative truly stands out from the crowd and hints at some of the inspirational destinations and experiences that our expert Tour Directors bring to life on our tours.”

 

The advert, developed by Manchester-based agency Cheetham Bell in conjunction with the in-house Cosmos UK team in Bromley, will also air across Australia during the Peak holiday-booking period. A social media campaign will run across Australia, New Zealand and Canada in parallel to the UK’s TV, radio, social media, search and press activity.

 

Hazle added, “North America remains our customers’ most popular touring destination, whether that’s the natural beauty of the National Parks, the buzz of the Southern music states or Canada’s smart cities and breath-taking landscapes. This campaign will showcase the vast array of escorted touring options available to customers, and support our travel agent partners in selling this diverse destination.”

 

Adventurers can take advantage of an early booking offer of up to 7.5% off tour prices until 28th January, plus an extra £300 discount per couple when booking a North America tour with flights before 21st February.
