We had a very enjoyable holiday, everything came up to our expectations.
Our only complaint was the fact that our cruise director made a big point of telling us that she was expecting 3 times the amount of gratuity than recommend by Cosmos. They suggested 5 euros per person per day —— approx £75. Alex told us she was expecting £ 225! This made ourselves and other customers feel very uncomfortable. I think this needs to be addressed.
Very enjoyable . Crew were brilliant. All very hard working ...despite being end of season.
Only disappointment was a very noisy group of ten. I would suggest on such small boats party groups should be limited to 6 0r max. 8 people
Staff on the boat were lovely, in particular Mate Zemljić who was outstanding, he tried really hard to make this holiday the best for absolutely everyone. You have a real gem there!
Marion, the 'manager' was often rude to the passengers and argued with the crew.
The captain was very nice, smiled lots, the cook made us some delicious meals, the people who replaced towels etc were very unobtrusive and made sure our cabins were well maintained but the prize of your holiday HAS to be Mate. He went above and beyond personal service for all 36 of us. What an absolute star!
The tour organiser was disinterested in us the majority of the time but made sure we all completed her envelope for her personal tips which none of us wanted to do as we were unsure exactly what she did the whole time she was there - Alex was her name.
Thank you for an outstanding time, wherever Mate is next time, we want to be with him, he was informative, helpful, proud of Croatia and we loved him. From 6 am till 2 am he was on duty, when does that guy have time off? Wow! Just blown away by it.
I broke my ankle just before going on holiday we decided to still go since we were on a boat and cruising which we still enjoyed very much. The crew were really good to me could not do enough.
The only thing not to keen on was the food just not to our taste even though they offered alternatives. Felt a menu should have been put up each day.
Excellent value for money. Well looked after by staff on the cruise.
Beautiful scenery lovely locals.
Great trip lovely mix of sun and sightseeing
The holiday itself was great, but I wouldn't describe the boat itself as deluxe. The public areas - dining room, bar, deck were nicely appointed but the cabins themselves were quite basic. We found the beds pretty uncomfortable and were surprised that we had to make them up ourselves except on the one occasion when the cabin was completely serviced and all towels and linen changed. Also we were not notified in advance that that the boat final bill - bar, port charges, extras could not be settled by credit card which had been our intention. We had to withdraw local currency on the final day to cover this. not a problem in itself but it would have been useful to know in advance.
Excellent holiday. Only issue was having to pay for water which should have been included.
Total meals included:
Fly to Dubrovnik and transfer to Gruz Harbour to embark your ship for your seven night Adriatic cruise. Later, meet your fellow travellers and your Cruise Manager at an on-board Welcome Reception. This evening, you can relax on-board or take a walk through Dubrovnik's vibrant streets.
Start the day with a walking tour of Dubrovnik, the 'Pearl of the Adriatic' and a UNESCO World Heritage site. During lunch on-board, we set sail for the beautiful island of Korcula with a swimming stop in one of the many pristine bays en-route weather permitting. Continue towards Korcula where you can discover the preserved medieval town.
This morning, a walking tour of Korcula takes you through its narrow, cobbled streets full of history. Later, we set sail towards the island of Brac. On arrival, an optional excursion to the local stonemason school is available. Enjoy the opportunity to swim in one of Brac's many lovely coves and bays (weather permitting).
An early departure this morning as we head for Omis. It's fortresses are silent stone reminders of the power and might of the infamous pirates who once made their homes and fortunes here. An optional small boat trip to the Cetina River Canyon is available. Later, depart Omis and arrive in Split where spend the night. An included guided tour is included where you can discover this historic city and entrance is included to Diocletian's Palace. The historical centre of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Stop in Bol, a small town on the island of Brac, for a swim at the Golden Horn beach today. Admire the 1740 foot long golden pebble beach, said to the best in Croatia. The shape and position changes depending on the winds. Return to your ship for lunch, then head to Hvar. Hvar is one of the most popular islands in the Adriatic and is a meeting point for the international jet set. It is also one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. A sight seeing tour of Hvar town allows you to see the first public theatre in Europe and many other historical sites.
Note: Due to the limited capacity of Hvar harbour (especially during the peak Summer months), the port of call may be substituted for Stari Grad or Jelsa in which case transfer by bus will be organised to and from Hvar.
This morning, we wave goodbye to Hvar as we set sail to Mljet. A swimming stop en-route is included (weather permitting). The island of Mljet will hypnotize you with its beautiful, untouched nature and its cultural heritage. At the heart of the island is Mljet National Park (entry is approximately €15 per person) and is home to many species of birds and two deep stunning lakes. This evening, a Captain's dinner will be served on-board.
Today, admire the spectacular coastline as you cruise back to Dubrovnik. We arrive in the early afternoon where there will be plenty of time for final sightseeing.
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK or extend your stay in Dubrovnik.
€25 per person port taxes must be paid on arrival.
Sailing times, itineraries and excursions are subject to change due to the Captain's discretion and weather conditions.
Your holiday price does not include any fees to enter Croatia's National Parks. These fees must be paid locally.
